Vice Presidents Letter

Hello Moms,

I would like to thank everyone for making me part of the board. I have been with Mom's Club for two years now and I love it. I can remember when I would go to events and I could talk to everyone……

Now all I do is run around after Allie. We all know how that is. But that's what makes Mom's Club great.

It lets you make great friends while running after your kids. What else do we need? I could think of a few things!

Soon school will be here and we all will start our busy lives again. Like we're not busy all the time. We just have to remember to take the time out to spend with the little ones.

Enjoy it! It goes by so fast. The same things you complain about today will be the things you miss tomorrow. Even when it takes an hour to get out of the house and when you get to your destination they want to leave. I guess that's when we need the other moms. Who else could understand? We have lots of great things planned and I hope I get to see everyone even if it's only for a minute.

MOMS Club of Berkley, MI
OPEN HOUSE

Save the date for our New Member Open House on Wednesday, August 24th from 10am to noon (rain date August 25). The Open House is for anyone interested in learning more about the MOMS Club. We will host a pot-luck lunch so please sign up to bring a dish to share. Also, please take part in spreading the word by hanging up flyers around town. THE MOMMY TEST
I was out walking with my 4 year old daughter. She picked up something off the ground and started to put it in her mouth. I took the item away from her and I asked her not to do that.

"Why?" my daughter asked.

"Because it's been lying outside, you don't know where it's been, it's dirty and probably has germs" I replied.

At this point, my daughter looked at me with total admiration and asked,
"Wow! How do you know all this stuff?"

"Uh," ....I was thinking quickly, "All moms know this stuff. It's on the Mommy Test.
You have to know it, or they don't let you be a Mommy."

We walked along in silence for 2 or 3 minutes, but she was evidently pondering this new information.

"OH...I get it!" she beamed, "So if you don't pass the test you have to be the daddy."
"Exactly" I replied back with a big smile on my face and joy in my heart.
