Letter from the President I hope everyone enjoyed meeting the 2005-2006 Board. I know I got to learn a little bit more about Dawn, Kathy, Jessica and Sue. It seems like when I am at play dates, park days and parties, I never get to have a full length conversation. Usually there is an interruption every 15 minutes or less. That is why I enjoy MOMS® Night Out so much. We moms can actually talk for extended periods of time with minimal interruptions. I have also benefited from learning more about the moms in our club by becoming more involved with the club, even if it was just in snippets. At first, I attended only Business Meetings and holiday parties. I then started attending more and more events and now, 3 years later, I am lucky to be the President of a great MOMS® Club.
Speaking of lucky, during the holiday season I count all my blessings and I feel very fortunate for all that I have. So, I try extra hard to give a little more this time of year. I'm proud of all the work we do with MOMS® Club. Making Sunshine Meals for one of our members. Going to Waltonwood and seeing the smiles on the senior's faces when our children enter the lounge. Having a Family Night Out at Fuddruckers to raise money for a charitable cause while spending precious time with our friends and family. Donating our fundraising money to help a family have a happier holiday. Spending time with each other while sewing blankets for a sick child. The list goes on and on! Just think of how many people we gave a little joy to this year!

"MOMS ARE STARS" April 8, 2006 • Lansing, MI Talk to a board member today about registration It's getting closer. Only one month away! If you are attending, you will need to write a check made payable to MOMS Club of Berkley and get it to Kathy by 3/9. The $35 fee includes lunch, non-alcoholic beverages, speakers and meeting a ton of MOMS Club members. You can also pre buy basket raffle tickets - 6 for $5 or 1 for $1. We can all carpool and have a great day together. MOMS morning to early evening out! We will leave Berkley at approximately 8 am and return around 6 pm. Let the dads know what it feels like to be with the kids for a "full days work".
Tupperware Fundraiser Our Tupperware Fundraiser is now underway. We will earn 25% profit on every item that we sell from the catalogs. Dawn has addiotional packets that she will be delivering, or go to www.my.tupperware.com/michigan to look at an online catalog. There are lots of great deals that our Tupperware representitive showed us at the business meeting. Great gift ideas for Easter or Mother's Day, ir just any day of the year! Please contact Dawn if you have any questions or need more information.
Spa Night Spa Night was a great success. Thank you Kathy for coordinating such a relaxing and enjoyable evening for us MOMS that desperately needed it. We enjoyed all the pampering and also got to enjoy the company of our MOMS Club memners. We all agreed that this is something that should be done every three months. So look for an upcoming date, right before sandal weather. Annette's Salon promised to have plenty of people on staff to accommodate all interested MOMS.
Renewal Policy Update The good news is ... Our operating expenses have been significantly reduced since we are now able to email newsletters out! And, even better news ... as a way to save our members some money, if you get your renewal check and form to Kathy or Jessica by the 15th of you renewal month, you only have to pay $15 for your renewal dues! If it's after the 15th they you'll pay the standard $20 dues. Take advantage of the $5 saving and get your forms and check back on time!
