About Athens Avenue
Athens Avenue is an international
ensemble of poets that have been writing together online since 1996. Its members are active in poetic communities
in North America, Europe and the Middle East and are published widely in both
print journals and online ezines.
The poets of Athens Avenue are pioneers of poetry in new
media with much of their work appearing exclusively in electronic form,
however, Athens Avenue is much more than a community of Internet poets. It is much more than a workshop, a
cyber-collective or virtual colony; rather it is an association of mature poets
who practice their craft in artistic collaboration.
