Understanding and Interpreting this Table

The test results have been divided into eight separate DNA signature groups indicated by the different background colors in the table below. A documented connection between the different signature groups is not likely to be found because the groups are believed to be separated by more than 1000 years based on the number of mutations.
All members of the same signature group are likely to have a common ancestor that lived within a time frame that makes finding a documented connection possible.

Each row has been divided into several columns. The kit number, Earliest known ancestor (EKA), birth date and location of the EKA , death date and location of the EKA, and wife or wifes of the EKA.
- Kit # - This column indicates the kit number assigned by Family Tree DNA. You can see addition information by clicking on the kit number.
- Earliest Known Ancestor - This is the oldest known Rutledge in the ancestoral line of the DNA subject. The name is also clickable.
- Born - This column indicated the birth date and location of the earliest known ancestor.
- Died - This column indicates the death date and location of the earliest known ancestor.
- Married - This column indicates the name of the wife or wifes of the earliest known ancestor.
