My History

<>In 1965 I started life as a K code Mustang fastback in san Jose California. It was June 25, 1965 while on a ford assembly line, my father Carroll Shelby had me and 560 of my fellow brothers shipped to Shelby American at Los Angeles airport for modifications according to his specs. The mods were completed on July 2, 1965. I am number 550 of 561 total cars. I was then shipped to Galpin  Motors in San Fernando California.
My 1st owner bought me on July 14, 1965 and after that 2 more owners auto crossed and drag race me!!!...
In 1974 I finally got a rest with my 4th owner who lived in Oklahoma and drove me every day around town.  In 1987 I was then sold to investment motorsports in Illinois where they vintage raced me at road America in Elkhart  Lake Wisconsin. Then in September of 1987 , I finally met the owner of my dreams.  Big Mike who has carefully restored me and made me look new again!  I have won many awards. In 1991 Revell Monogram company used me to make a model for the creative masters collection metal 1/20 scale model. in 1999 Franklin Mint rented me and had me on display at the collector's convention in Chicago to help promote their metal 1/20 scale model, which one of them was a 1965 Shelby.
FYI-- In 1965 I sold new for $4,879.25.
