NRA Personal Protection

This class develops the basic skills, knowledge, and attitude essential to the safe and efficient use of a handgun for protection of self and family, and to provide information on the law-abiding citizen's right to self-defense. 

Certificates from this class are necessary in obtaining a Michigan Concealed Pistol License.

Classes start at 9:00 AM and last 8-10 hours with an hour for lunch.

Requirements

Hearing and Eye protection are required as is 100 rounds of ammunition, extra magazines/speed loaders. Strong side holsters may be used but are optional,  cross draw or shoulder holsters not permitted. A baseball type cap is recommended.

NRA "Basic" Pistol Training Class

• You will learn the "Basic" knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary for the safe use of a pistol.
• Pistol knowledge, parts and safe handling
• Range safety rules
• Ammunition knowledge and the fundamentals of pistol shooting
• Shooting positions, firing, caring for the pistol
• Practical exercises

NRA Basic Pistol

This class develops the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary for owning and using a pistol safely. 

Classes start at 8:00 AM and last 10 hours with an hour for lunch. 

Cost is $100.00. Includes range fees. NRA Certificates are awarded.
